Richard L. 'Dick' Stephens, 64, Crawfordsville, died 7:30 a.m.
Saturday in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Stephens retired from R.R. Donnelley in 1996. His
memberships included New Richmond Masonic Lodge, where he was
past master, and Elks Lodge 483. He was a 1957 Urbana (Ill.) High
School graduate.
He was born July 12, 1939, at Crawfordsville, to George S. and
Charlene K. Jeffrey Stephens. He married Norris Lee Harrell in
1959. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Richard Lee Jr., Salem, Va.; a
daughter, Cindy Thompson, Crawfordsville; two brothers, George
Robert, Paris, Ill., and Daniel Retzolk, Austin, Texas; two
sisters, Caryl Walsh, Camargo, Ill., and Patricia Elders, Villa
Grove, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
A grandchild is deceased.
Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hunt &
Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with the Rev. Michael Wren
officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery South. Friends
may call 4-8 p.m. today in the funeral home, with Masonic
services at 8 p.m.
